Frequently Asked Questions about Complimentary Portrait Sessions
Why do I need to pay a deposit for a complimentary session?
We ask for your credit or debit card details to confirm and secure your photography experience appointment with us. We will take a £25 refundable deposit when you book. This will be returned to you at the end of your sales session, or can be taken off your order. You must attend both your portrait session and sales session to get your deposit back. To ensure that we can accommodate all our valued clients, we kindly request a minimum of 5 days’ notice if you need to change your appointment. Without this notice, your £25 deposit will be used to cover your cancellation. To re-book you will need to pay a further £25 deposit.
What are the costs?
Your time with us is complimentary and has been covered by the studio. Unless otherwise stated, our sessions do not include any prints, digital images or other products. These can be purchased at your viewing and ordering session (which takes place around a week after your session). We do however, as a thank you, include £50 product credit with your experience. This product credit can be used towards any of our products when you come back to see your images (excludes ‘Bundles’ as these have already been discounted). It cannot be used after your initial ordering session or transferred.
Our desktop Gift Frame range of products start from £175. Our wall piece range start from £585 (£508 after discounts). Digital image pricing depends on the quantity of images chosen. Digital image pricing ranges from £750 to £1200). We also offer 50% off digital images, when accompanied by any wall product, storybook or storybox. We also offer a range of ‘Bundle’ deals, where we offer a combination of products at a discounted price. Bundles start from £995. There is no obligation to purchase anything. Can I spread the cost?
Yes, we offer three methods of payment for your order.
1. In-Studio Finance: Our own convenient ‘in-house’ payment plan. This allows you to take advantage of our special offers without any interest or hidden fees. Typically, we ask for a minimum of 10% deposit at the time of viewing, but we’re flexible to accommodate your needs. No need to worry about credit checks. You can choose the payment frequency that works best for you. We’ll require your bank details to set up this plan. Your products will be ready for collection once all payments are complete. This arrangement gives you the flexibility to manage your budget, with the option to make overpayments as it suits you, all while enjoying our fantastic offers.
2. Third Party 0% Interest Free Finance: Thanks to our partner, PayItMonthly, we can offer 0% interest free credit (subject to a credit and affordability check). With just 10% payable on ordering you can pay the remaining balance through up to 9 further payments spread over up to 10 months. This payment method allows you to get your order quicker, as it will be produced once your first payment has been made. If you fail to be approved we also have other options that may be suitable for you.
3. Pay for your order in full and receive 5% cashback: If you pay for your order in full by cash or card at the end of your viewing session, we will also reward you with 5% cashback.
Is it possible to order digital copies of the images?
Yes, we offer digital packages, in different quantities of images. You’ll find out full information on this in our brochure on the website. We also offer a discount of 50% off digital images when you also purchase any wall product or album. Digital images are also included in our great value Bundles.
How long are appointments?
Your studio session with us lasts around 1 hour. The duration of this may increase if, for example, you have a large family. Please allow up to 2 hours when you come back to see your images for your viewing and ordering session. If you find that you have double booked and have an existing appointment that will conflict with your appointment with us, please call the studio to re-arrange.
Who needs to come back to see the pictures at the viewing and ordering session?
Your viewing and ordering session (which takes place around a week after your photoshoot) is the only time you will see your images and any orders must be placed then. It is strongly encouraged that everyone who attended the session (and any relevant decision makers in your household) attend your viewing and ordering session. Please inform us if they cannot attend before coming back to see your images. If you do come back without them, we will need to cancel your viewing and ordering session until such time that they are available to attend. There will be a charge for this, if you have not made us aware in advance.
Can pets be in family photos and family in pet photos?
Of course they can! In fact, we would encourage it! We want everyone involved who is dear to you. The biggest regret we hear is that people didn’t include their family or their pet in their portrait.
When will I receive my final images?
Depending on the product(s) you order, framed wall art takes anywhere between 3 to 6 weeks to product. Storybooks and storyboxes take around 4 to 6 weeks to produce. Digital images are delivered around 1 to 2 weeks after order. Delivery times are subject to the payment method chosen and may be subject to change during busy periods.
